METIS UV - FLOW DISINFECTION LAMPS
Lamps for disinfection with UV-C radiation constitute solutions for owners of companies, hotels, restaurants, as well as people managing public facilities – office buildings, schools, and institutions.
In a situation of strict sanitary requirements related to the COVID-19 corona virus pandemic, it is especially important to take all precautions and carry out regular and effective disinfection of interiors.
Germicidal lamps using UV-C radiation effectively disinfect air and surfaces and have long been used in hospitals and treatment rooms. Currently, they are used in offices, hotels, and other public utility buildings more and more often.
Two main types of lamps are being used: direct and flow-through.
METIS UV MS2-220 VERSION FOR INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS
In the case of large production and storage areas, it is necessary to take advantage of disinfection lamps with a special construction. The METIS UV MS2-220 lamp includes as many as four Philips UV-C illuminators with the power of 55 W each, as well as a highly efficient and quiet industrial fan. Thanks to this, it is possible for people working near the lamp to effectively disinfect areas of 60 – 90m3.
TWO VERSIONS OF LAMPS FOR THE CONVENIENCE OF USERS
– direct germicidal lamps – can be used only when there are no people or animals in the disinfected interior. Recommended exposure time – min. 2h.
– flow bactericidal lamps – they effectively disinfect air and surfaces in the presence of people. The safety of users is ensured by completely enclosing the UV-C illuminators in the chamber. The disinfection takes place by purifying the air in a forced air flow through the UV-C chamber.
Since ultraviolet radiation in the UV-C range is harmful to health, may cause skin burns and eye damage, it is definitely safer for users to take advantage of flow lamps. People can stay and work near a constantly operating UV-C lamp without the need to take advantage of specialized eye and skin protection measures.
METIS UV lamps take advantage of Philips UV illuminators and thanks to their construction they are very efficient and completely safe.
Research conducted by specialists, for example from Seoul Semiconductors, confirm the effectiveness of disinfection carried out with the use of UVC radiation at the level of 99.9% for viruses of the corona group.
